Duties

As a Information Technology Specialist (Information Security), you will perform the following duties: Defines the scope and level of detail for security plans and policies applicable to the security program. Leads implementation activities for projects. Assesses new systems design methodologies to improve software quality. Resolves integration issues related to the implementation of new systems with the existing infrastructure. Reviews proposed new systems, network, or software designs for potential security risks.

IN ADDITION TO THE ABOVE BASIC REQUIREMENT, YOU MUST ALSO MEET THE FOLLOWING MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-12 grade level or equivalent performing duties such as: Applies new information technology security developments to ensure current guidelines are updated accurately; Applies project management principles and methods to gain an overview knowledge of future IT enterprise infrastructure; Processes engineering concepts to comply with organizational standards; AND Supports implementation of infrastructure to secure and protect the environment. Qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement. Qualification claims will be subject to verification.
