This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration. This position is located in the Office of the Archivist of the United States. The Office of the Archivist is responsible for the overall strategic direction of the agency, working with external partners on initiatives of national significance, and coordinating activities across the agency.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Specialized Experience for the GS-15 grade level is defined as one year of experience at the GS-14 grade level, or equivalent, that is typically in or related to the position and which equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position. Specialized Experience includes: - Leading projects that often result in new or significantly changed policies, practices, or procedures, in support of an agency/organization's strategic plan; AND - Providing guidance or consultative services to senior leadership on issues and also ongoing/upcoming agency/organization initiatives; AND - Experience representing senior leadership with internal and external stakeholders, such as Federal agencies, Congressional and Administration audiences, international groups, and other constituents; AND - Experience serving in a leadership role at a historical, archival, cultural, philanthropic, educational, museum, or library institution; AND - Using knowledge of American History/Political Science to advise an agency/organization principal on ongoing and upcoming agency/organization initiatives, serve as a liaison and representative when working on joint initiatives and sharing best practices in government-wide orprivate industry settings.
