The ideal candidate for this position will serve as the lead adviser/team member for Emergency Support Function (ESF) 15 External Affairs in the National Response Coordination Center. They will help guide communication and coordination during incidents, support internal and external relationship building during disaster and non-disaster time, and strengthen ESF 15 overall through training and exercise during steady state time.

Experience may be obtained in the Federal or Private Sector and must demonstrate all of the following: Planning, developing, and implementing Public Affairs strategies for highly visible agency program. Creating and presenting information to the public on controversial subjects in the absence of high-level officials. Coordinating major press conferences and interviews of senior agency officials and handling both crisis and non-crisis news events.
