About this position: This position is located in the Office of Chief Compliance Officer, within the Office of the Director, Peace Corps headquarters, Washington DC. Under the direction and supervision of the Chief Compliance and Risk Officer, the incumbent of this position serves in an important role to further the agency's compliance program. The incumbent is privy to priorities and strategic thinking of Peace Corps management and exhibits the same in managing the assigned responsibilities.

Qualifications

All qualification requirements must be met by 02/22/2024 (the closing date of this announcement). Qualification claims will be subject to verification. Specialized experience - FP-3 (Equivalent to the GS-13): To be minimally qualified for this position at the FP-3 level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression, FP-4 or GS-12 level which is in or directly related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience interpreting regulations and applying new methods to resolve complex and/or intricate, controversial, or unprecedented issues and problems; skill in identifying issues impacting program effectiveness; experience designing and leading implementation of improvement initiatives; and experience providing senior level consultations. Specialized experience - FP-2 (Equivalent to the GS-14): To be minimally qualified for this position at the FP-2 level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression, FP-3 or GS-13 level which is in or directly related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience applying laws and regulations involving compliance work in order to develop agency-wide policies and provide expert advice and recommendations to top level Agency officials; experience analyzing, evaluating, and reporting on actions related to critical agency management and performance issues; and experience providing advice, guidance, and direction on compliance matters to an organization ensuring application of broad compliance statutes, policies, enterprise risk management framework, agency strategic plans and directives, and to ensure conformity with the authorities of the Director. Time-in-Grade Requirements: Internal applicants and Federal employees who are currently holding, or who have held within the previous 52 weeks, a position under a non-temporary appointment in the competitive or excepted service, must meet "time-in-grade" requirements (have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade of the grade for which you are applying (FP-3 or GS-13). Note: All current or former Federal employees (including internal employees) must provide a copy of their SF-50 (you may need to submit more than one), "Notice of Personnel Action" that indicates proof of status and time-in-grade eligibility. The SF-50 must include your position, title, series, grade, step, tenure, and type of service (Competitive or Excepted). The FP pay plan does not follow the same structure as the GS pay plan. In the FP pay plan, as the grade-level numbers decrease the level/pay for the position increases (e.g., the FP-09 is the lowest entry-level pay and the FP-01 is the highest senior-level pay).
