About the Position: This position is located in Director For Administration Department of Logistics.

Duties

Act as inventory manager with the responsibility for and the authority to plan, organize, coordinate and advise on supply stock levels, purchasing, and contracting efforts. Supervise Government Purchase Card (GPC) holder. Responsible for requisitioning, reviewing, inspecting, receiving, storing, issuing, and disposing of items. Serves as Supply Officer responsible for assuring a comprehensive supply program including procurement, records maintenance, storage and distribution, inventory, inspection, classification and disposal of excess stock. Supervises the Approving Official to conduct procurement requirements below the micro-purchase threshold for supplies and services. Plans, programs and prioritizes subordinate work requirements, gives advice, counsel, and instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience with medical/non-medical logistics regulations, policies, and/or procedures; experience administering and authorizing Government Purchase Card (GPC) activity for multiple cardholders; utilizes supply automation systems such as Defense Medical Logistics Supply System (DMLSS) and General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Logistics, Inventory Management, Supply Chain Management and/or Purchasing Manager. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Inventory ManagementLeadershipSupply PlanningTechnical Problem Solving Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
