You will serve as a Administrative/Technical Specialist in the Communications & Community Relations Branch of the Public & Congressional Affairs Division of the Corporate Operations Department of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.
NT-05 is equal to the GS-13/14.
The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $134,435).
Duties
You will provide strategic leadership in the development and dissemination of NSWC Crane internal and external communications as a Communications Lead.
You will oversee development of branding in alignment with NSWC Crane Strategic direction and advise the command of effective brand development.
You will assist with development and update to the NSWC Crane Strategic Communications Plan and ensure the plan is executed in accordance with the prescribed plans of action and milestones.
You will provide leadership to and proactively seek out awareness of all communications-related tasking, such as development and transmittal of written and informational materials.
You will be involved with planning, coordination, collection, analysis, and reporting of informational metrics related to communications efforts.
You will establish and maintain effective working relationships with information and public affairs officials of federal and state agencies, national publications, news media sources, nonprofit and private organizations, and local community leaders.
You will serve as a signle point of contact for a key constituent organization within NSWC Crane, attending staff meetings, building repport with the internal stakeholders of the organization, and coordinating all Corporate Communications support.
You will provide leadership in the development/execution of a crisis communication plan for NSWC Crane.
You will research, develop, execute, and assess NSWC Crane internal communication efforts.
You will develop and execute an effective NSWC Crane Internal Communications Strategy.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (NT-04 or GS-11/12 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing and evaluating communication strategies to develop and implement communications guidance for cultivating or managing media relations with key stakeholders.
