This position is located within the United States Coast Guard (USCG), Director of Governmental Affairs, Office of External Outreach, Museum Division, Washington, DC.
Duties
This position serves as a Director, National Coast Guard Museum, responsible for managing the day-today operation of the National Coast Guard Museum and serving as a primary staff liaison to Coast Guard Headquarters.
Requirements

- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- A one year probationary period maybe required.
- A one-year supervisory probationary period may be required.
Qualifications
To qualify for the GS-15: Applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lowest grade level (GS-14 level) in the federal service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
Specialized experience includes experience: You will need to meet 3 out of the 5 bullets below:
Supervising a staff of 30+ of Federal and military personnel and at least 5 direct subordinate supervisors which you do performance evaluations for and develop.
Oversee a $80M budget.
Manage and supervise operations of an 80,000 + sq ft facility.
Lead and implement strategic planning to support departments enterprise wide.
Oversee and develop project management to ensure multi-year, multi-million-dollar projects stay on time and budget.
