The Logistics Management Specialist for the FAA Logistics Center serves as a professional Logistics Management Specialist ensuring an integrated logistics support program for the FAA National Air Space (NAS) system and other systems maintained and/or managed by the Logistics Center for inter-agency customers to the FAA including, but not limited to, the United States Customs and Border Protection (USCBP).

Duties

The incumbent applies experience and advanced knowledge applicable to logistics management and provisioning support by coordinating with internal and external customers such as FAA management, program managers, project managers, inventory managers, engineers, technical specialists, other logistics management specialists and provisioners, contracting officer representatives, field technicians, and equipment specialists to support planning and implementation of functional activities for programs/projects regarding logistics, provisioning, deployment, and sustainment. The incumbent acts as an individual contributor and/or member of a team and may perform some leadership functions for small project/programs or other work activities. The incumbent conducts various meetings, briefings, reports and does so in a professional, prompt, and comprehensive manner.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position at the FV-H (FG/GS-12) level, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-G, (FG/GS 10-11) level. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level.SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE includes: experience with project management; conducts meetings/briefings; evaluates and analyzes data; identify problems/deficiencies and make recommendations; experience with acquisition processes and life-cycle management; implementing logistics management policies, goals and objectivesApplicants should include examples of specialized experience in their work history.
