About the Position: This position is located at the Womack Army Medical Center in Fort Bragg, NC; Department of Emergency Medicine. The incumbent performs work in support of the care and treatment of patients in the emergency room, allowing clinical staff to focus on patient care needs unencumbered by specialized receptionist duties.
This working environment is 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Duties
Perform administrative duties for healthcare providers in the healthcare environment located within the Department of Emergency Medicine.
Perform administrative duties to include phone, fax, paging personnel, accessing electronic health records and data entry.
Navigate multiple computer systems to gather end of day data, close out of medical record, scanning, copying, and report generation.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing receptionist duties such as receiving patients/visitors and answering telephone calls within a medical treatment facility; utilizing healthcare software systems to input and retrieve medical data; referring patients for treatment; scheduling, cancelling, and/or coordinating follow-up medical appointments with patient's provider.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
