This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for AcqDemo Business and Technical Management Career Path (NH) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: Serves as a senior technical authority and planner/analyst for the Analysis and Strategy Directorate (ASD) in support of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army for Strategy and Acquisition Reform (DASA SAR), located in Arlington County, VA.
Duties
Serve as a senior technical authority and planner/analyst for the Analysis and Strategy Directorate (ASD) in support of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army for Strategy and Acquisition Reform (DASA SAR).
Coordinate on a wide range of issues related to the implementation of Acquisition Reform through the execution of complex analytical studies, projects and tasks assigned to the directorate.
Perform a variety of work that supports the DASA's strategic planning efforts and communication outreach.
Define emerging issues and opportunities to form the foundation for future growth of the Acquisition and Modernization Enterprise.
Exercise a high level of interaction with Congress, the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), Department of the Army (DA), Department of the Navy, Department of the Air Force, Program Executive Offices (PEOs) and other subordinate Commands.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for PROGRAM MANAGEMENT certification within 48 months as of entrance on duty.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Specialized experience is defined as: Developing strategic plans or concepts to support the implementation of acquisition reform initiatives; Lead special projects within the organization; Performing research or technical analysis for acquisition programs; Brief senior leadership and partners to provide advice on acquisition policies and programs.
