About the Position: The mission of the Corpus Christi Army Depot is to overhaul, repair, modify, retrofit, test and modernize helicopters, engines and components for services and foreign military customers. Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) is the Army's Center of Industrial and Technical Excellence for Rotary Wing Aviation Maintenance.

Duties

Initiate business contacts with contractors and develop mutually advantageous business opportunities for the depot. Plan, implement, and control depot-wide business strategies to sustain future workload capacity. Identify substantial changes in established business practices and procedures for implementing new business workload. Develop content for promotional material, the organization website and various other media as required to broaden the depot's market base. Identify actual or potential problem areas, trends, areas of imbalance to determine future depot partnerships.

Requirements

  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 20% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Identifying and developing depot core capabilities through assigned projects; (2) Implementing depot wide business strategies to sustain future workload; 3) Performing business case and cost-benefit analysis in determining commercial partnering strategies; 4) Developing reports and spreadsheets in determining major business impacts to the organization. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. [remove LL.M., if unrelated] in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Management and Logistics Management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Data Collection and AnalysisPlanning and EvaluatingStrategic ThinkingWritten Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
