You will serve as an INSTALLATION TRAINING OFFICER of Naval Construction Battalion Center Gulfport.

Duties

You will Coordinate with senior leaders in the development of a long-range training plan. You will Brief senior leaders on the progress of military training. You will Advise stakeholders on processes, technical standards, and methodologies to use to solve installation issues or challenges.

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This position is considered Key/Non-Combat Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support of the expeditionary requirements in other than combat or combat support situations.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Establishing training, readiness and exercise programs for an installation; 2) Developing detailed plans, goals, and objectives for long-range implementation and administration of training/readiness programs; 3) Presenting recommendations and solutions regarding complex issues based on analysis and evaluation on training and readiness issues; 4) Utilizing Mission Essential Task List (METL) and Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS) in developing/coordinating realistic and challenging integrated training exercises. Education

Have successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

OR

Have successfully completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree

OR

Have successfully completed an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled.
