About the Position: This is a PERMANENT position located at U.S. Army Cadet Command, DCoS, G3, G37/CST Division at Fort Knox in Hardin, KY.
Duties
Plan all special event, marketing, and ceremonial programs as part of USACC ROTC Cadet Summer Training (CST) and the CST Visitors Bureau.
Prepare decision briefings for Division Chief, resulting in decision on future marketing, special events, and ceremonies directly related to CST.
Research event objectives and produces outlines of events to determine necessary resources required to create the final event.
Develop key milestones and report results in briefings multiple stakeholders within the community.
Provides project execution data from contracting office and contractors.
Research regulations, directives, and identify conflicts, non-compliance, and recommend potential solutions.
Collect information regarding project schedules, identifies decision-making alternatives, recommends process improvements, evaluates success in meeting goals and identifies issues needing resolution.
Develop improvements on the effectiveness of work methods and procedures, management controls, information and documentation systems, and similar management functions.
Requirements

- Position requires business travel up to 10% of the time.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as work that involves assisting in the full scope of each project from inception through completion such as marketing, scheduling and budgeting; reviewing cost reports to assure charges are authorized; AND recommending strategies in resolving complex problems that may affect event schedules. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as administrative management. Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
