About the Position: This position performs technician work that supports the management and oversight of the procurement of supplies, services, and construction in the Regional Contracting Center - Americas, 410th Contracting Support Brigade.

Duties

Performs technician work that supports the management and oversight of the procurement of supplies and services in the Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC). Generates, prepares, controls and reviews recurring error reports. Monitors various automated contract information management systems by entering, searching for, editing, and extracting data and information. Updates and maintains the currency of procurement management documents or related information. Analyzes various procurement, management documents and reports and takes appropriate action. Works with situations involving the procurement process from contracting pre-award phase through the post-award phase.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires submission of Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, upon entering the position and annually thereafter.
  • This position requires temporary duty (TDY) travel up to 25% of the time.
  • The incumbent is required to obtain and maintain a SECRET Security Clearance as a condition of employment.

Qualifications

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Working with procurement functional areas and their relationship to other functions, such as inventory management, cataloging, transportation, and supply, 2) Generating a variety of reports and recommend or take corrective action regarding recurring error reports, and 3) Developing automated procurement procedures for clerical operations based on procurement procedures and regulations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06) You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Applies Technology to TasksClericalContracting/Procurement
