Duties
This position performs technician work that supports the management and oversight of the procurement of supplies and services in the Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC).
The position is involved in a variety of work situations involving the full spectrum of the procurement process from the contracting pre-award phase through the post-award phase.
The position directly supports the organizations efforts to manage contract operations.
The position analyzes various procurement management documents and reports and takes appropriate action.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

- The incumbent is required to obtain and maintain a SECRET Security Clearance as a condition of employment.
- Travel may be required up to 5%.
- IMPACT ON AUTOMATION: This position must have sufficient knowledge of a variety of contract management automated systems to apply instructions for procurement actions such as data entry, reports retrieval, error corrections, and record searches.
- IMPACT ON AUTOMATION: The work is performed through the use of a personal computer.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Working with procurement functional areas and their relationship to other functions, such as inventory management, cataloging, transportation, and supply, 2) Experience to generate a variety of standard reports and understand recurring error reports and recommend or take corrective action, AND 3) Development of automated procurement procedures for clerical operations based on procurement procedures and regulations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06)
