This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration. The Supervisory Digital Imaging Specialist serves as a section supervisor within the Digitization Division (RZ) within the Office of Research Services (R).

Duties

As a Supervisory Digital Imaging Specialist, you will: - Assign digitization duties, plan work schedules, and set priorities for subordinates. Adjust operations and staffing to meet established production goals, to accommodate new and changing program requirements and/or goals, and to work within budget requirements and restraints. - Provide training to staff on a routine and as needed basis directly, through other staff, and by contractors. - Set performance standards, appraises performance, and ensures that each subordinate accomplishes a satisfactory amount and quality level of work in a timely manner. - Maintain and updates Digitization Division operating procedures. - Coordinate with the staff to implement the use of imaging technology for appropriate services offered by the Digitization Division.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: - Overseeing quality control/quality assurance; AND - Applying regulations, policies or procedures to accomplish work assignments; AND - Leading projects. In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable (as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F): For the GS-13, you must have been at the GS-12level for 52 weeks.
