You will serve as a SUPERVISORY RANGE DEVELOPMENT SAFETY SPECIALIST in the Range Control Facility, of Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center (MCMWTC), Bridgeport, CA.
Duties
You will coordinate Range Training Area (RTA), matters pertaining to the training complex use of surrounding airspace, air control procedures and midair collision avoidance.
You will schedule, coordinate, control, inspect, and operate field firing ranges, firing positons, maneuver areas, military operations in surrounding airspace and impact areas.
You will provide a consolidated point of contact to schedule and control all training areas and firing ranges utilizing the Range Facility Management Support System (RFMSS).
You will provide range safety inspectors to ensure safety and police of areas of responsibility.
You will develop and implement a training / certification program to train range personnel in range safety and range operations programs.
You will develop, coordinate and manage the organizations range safety program.
You will plan, direct, schedule and manage all range development.
You will provide guidance and interpret regulations and directives pertaining to range operations and activities.
You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing range operations and range safety program management; assisting with fire desk operations; and coordinating ground and air training activities.
