This position is located in the Office of the Commissioner for Patents, Patent Examination Policy, Central Reexamination Unit (CRU). CRU is responsible for consolidating and processing to conclusion pending reexamination requests, proceedings and reissue applications in the USPTO. These requests, proceedings and applications pose difficult technical and legal problems, frequently involve litigation among various parties, and may be subject to extensive national publicity.
