About the Position: This position is with the US Army Legal Services Agency, located at Fort Belvoir in Fairfax, Virginia.
Duties
Provide personnel, general management and administrative support services to the Litigation Division.
Apply budget for the contracting of litigation support services for major cases involving thousands of exhibits, multiple witnesses and technical experts.
Control the budget for travel, training, supplies, equipment, etc. for the Litigation Division.
Maintain accountability of property within the Division to include acquisition, retention and maintenance.
Coordinate the Division’s training and legal education program to ensure all attorneys remain current with skills and techniques.
Perform duties as a witness coordinator for federal litigation.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Secret Security Clearance.
- One-year trial period may be required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes Assist with general management and/or administrative support of an office; coordinate budget for line items such as, travel, training supplies and equipment; perform duties as a witness coordinator; and participate in acquiring contracting support services required in a legal environment.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
