You will serve as an Engineering Technician in the Public Works Business Line ENG & ACQ Division of NAV FACILITIES ENGINEERING COMMAND SE. Duties

You will utilize knowledge of Planning and Estimating. You will develop specifications, work statements and drawings. You will exercise knowledge of facility construction, renovation, and repair. You will leverage knowledge of related construction fields. You will utilize knowledge of engineering and design as applied to actual practice.

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • A Procurement Integrity Certification may be required in accordance with Office of Federal Procurement Policy Act (41 USC 423) as amended.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing knowledge of Planning and Estimating; 2) Utilizing knowledge of engineering and design as applied to actual practice; 3) Exercising knowledge of facility construction, renovation, and repair; 4) Leveraging knowledge of related construction fields; 5) Developing specifications, work statements and drawings.
