You will serve as an Engineering Technician in the Requirements Branch within the Facilities Management Division located in Public Works Department Gulfport of NAV FACILITIES ENGINEERING COMMAND SE.
Duties
You will determine facility requirements to develop and repair buildings, structures, utilities, or grounds.
You will use Computer Aided Design (CAD) Drafting software or conventional drafting methods to produce designs and working drawings.
You will perform inspection and service coordination to ensure the effective maintenance, repair and modification of the facilities.

- This position may require occasional travel from normal duty station to remote sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
Qualifications
For non-Federal applicants: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Developing designs, plans, and specifications for facility projects; 2) Coordinating different trades (e.g., electricians, plumbers, HVAC) for facility maintenance and repair work; 3) applying guidelines, precedents, and engineering principles and practices which relate to real property facilities; 4) evaluating the effectiveness of the preventive maintenance program and recommending program revisions; 5) managing the sustainment activities to keep facilities in good working order.
For Current Federal employee applicants: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Preparing requirement packages for the preservation, alteration, or construction of Class I and II real property; 2) developing graphs, charts, and other visual presentation aids covering program performance, fund utilization, and budgetary requirements; 3) identifying, classifying, prioritizing, and estimating maintenance and repair work; 4) identifying and developing restoration projects to restore facilities damaged by inadequate sustainment, excessive age, disaster, fire, accident, or other causes.
