Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: Degree: physical sciences, life sciences, or engineering that included 30 semester hours in chemistry, supplemented by course work in mathematics through differential & integral calculus, & at least 6 semester hours of physics OR Combination of education & experience: course work equivalent to a major as above, including at least 30 semester hours in chemistry, supplemented by mathematics through differential & integral calculus, & at least 6 semester hours of physics, plus appropriate experience or additional education In addition to Basic Qualifications above, Minimum Qualifications must be met: GS-11: At least 3 years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR 1 year of specialized experience (GS-9 equivalent) OR A combination of education & experience GS-12 & above: At least 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level

Education

You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
