This position is located in the Office of the General Counsel, Office of International & Aviation Economic Law and the office addresses international legal issues including the drafting of open skies agreements & science & technology memoranda with foreign counterparts, and advises on economic aviation issues including licensing and the Essential Air Service Program and competition issues such as antitrust immunity requests and complaints brought by US air carriers against foreign governments.

Qualifications
To qualify, your experience should include experience and education equal or equivalent to the following:
To qualify for the GS-13, you must have:
Be a graduate of an accredited law school with a LL.B., J.D., or equivalent AND at least two years of professional legal work experience.
Be an active member in good standing of the bar in a state or territory of the United States or the District of Columbia or Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
To qualify for the GS-14, you must have:
Be a graduate of an accredited law school with a LL.B., J.D., or equivalent AND at least three years of professional legal work experience.
Be an active member in good standing of the bar in a state or territory of the United States or the District of Columbia or Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
To qualify for the GS-15, you must have:
Be a graduate of an accredited law school with a LL.B., J.D., or equivalent AND at least four years of professional legal work experience.
Be an active member in good standing of the bar in a state or territory of the United States or the District of Columbia or Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.

Education
MANDATORY EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
In order to qualify for this position, candidates must have successfully completed a full course of study in a school of law accredited by the American Bar Association (ABA) and have a professional law degree, and must currently be a member in good standing of the bar of a State or Territory of the United States or the District of Columbia.
