Will be assisting with recruitment of non veterans from community centers. Another key function of this position will be to assist with timely submissions to the Institutional Review Boards of the DC VAMC as well as to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) if necessary.
Duties
Duties:
The purpose of the position is to serve as the subject matter expert in focused ultrasound technology.
Provides scientific and technical support to research personnel.
Provides training to lab members on focused ultrasound.
Analyzes data and provides scientific advice and data analysis in preparation for proposals and manuscripts.
The position will include being trained on fMRI imaging analysis.
Position duties will also include screening, recruitment and scheduling of study participants at the Washington DC VAMC related to the day-to-day operations of the research study.
This requires in-person and distance-based (e.g. phone calls) interactions with prospective Veteran participants, as well as more in-depth interactions with eligible Veteran study participants.
Will be assisting with recruitment of non veterans from community centers.

Degree: that included or was supplemented by at least 24 semester hours in a field related to the work of the position to be filled, of which at least one course was in research methods and at least two courses were in statistics.

Combination of Education and Experience --
Education:
At least 24 semester hours in a field related to the work of the position to be filled, including at least one course in research methods and two courses in statistics, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
Experience:
The experience must have demonstrated:
(1) A thorough knowledge of the principles underlying the work of this series, and
(2) Understanding, both theoretical and practical, of the methods and techniques applied in performing work in this series.
