Duties
This Attorney Advisor position is a part of the judicial clerkship program in the Office of Administrative Law Judges (OALJ) at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). As such, the successful candidate will work for no more than 2 years as a judicial law clerk to administrative law judges in FERC's OALJ. Only candidates that can start immediately, are presently licensed to practice law, and have a minimum of 1-year of experience as a practicing attorney may apply.
Requirements
- You must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
- Possess a J.D. or LL.B. degree from an accredited college or university.
- Current, active bar membership required.
- A two-year trial period may be required.
- This is a bargaining unit position.
- Generally, male applicants must be registered with the Selective Service.
- This position has an education requirement; you must submit transcripts.
- You may be required to divest certain energy-related securities.
- A background investigation is required.
Qualifications
You must meet the following basic requirements, by the closing date of this announcement: Interested candidates must be a member of the bar, licensed to practice law, in a state or territory of the United States with at least one year experience as a practicing attorney.
