About the position: This position will be assigned to the Wright Patterson AFB, Outdoor Recreation.
Assists management in planning, developing and conducting recreation activities and events.

Duties
Assists management in planning, developing and conducting recreation activities and events. Assists with the daily operation, maintenance,
repair and cleaning of boats, trailers, gas powered equipment, grills, facilities, storage buildings, pavilions, grounds and other equipment.
Demonstrates safety and conservation techniques for customers, checking out rental equipment to ensure equipment is in operating
condition before leaving facilities and campsites. Performs safety inspections as required on equipment and assigned facilities
documenting discrepancies and reporting to supervisor. Demonstrates the use of equipment and proper handling techniques for a variety of
outdoor activities. Accounts for all funds and resources used in the program element. Acts as the subject matter expert for small engines,
recreational equipment, equipment installation and replacement of equipment. Assists in cleaning and set up of all facilities, equipment and
grounds as needed. Schedules and reserves campsites, boats, and other outdoor recreation equipment and areas for use. Responsible for
seeing that camping areas, pavilions and other rented establishments are vacated and all equipment returned in good order. Performs other
related duties as assigned.

Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Qualifying Experience:
Applicant must have experience which provided a working familiarity with small engines and basic mechanical skills. Must have a
practical knowledge and or experience of recreational activities and equipment. Knowledge of rules and procedures in a recreation
program or activity. Must have and maintain a valid driver's license. This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to
random testing for drug use. Must have cash handling experience. Moderate/heavy lifting required; 40 pounds or more. Must satisfactorily
complete a pre-employment physical. Must satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).

Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
