You will serve as a HOUSING MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT of NAS JAX.
Duties
You will prepare reports to provide housing trends and decision tools to command and regional program managers.
You will prepare housing reports or documentation concerning occupancy, vacancy, placement, or other related activities.
You will interview applicants to obtain information about needs and requirements.
You will collaborate with management officials to maintain effective working relationships with community organizations affecting off-base housing.
You will review application forms to add applicants to the housing wait list under appropriate category or housing requested or needed.
You will perform move in/out, Change of Occupancy and Life, Safety and Health Inspections on and off NAS Jacksonville
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States drivers license.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying housing administration policies, procedures, and regulations for military family housing to counsel prospective and current applicants; 2) Setting priorities and responding to inquiries from housing applicants and various agencies to facilitate workload requirements; 3) Interpreting applicable state laws to explain rental and lease agreements to housing applicants and; 4) Preparing housing reports for local management to submit to higher authorities.
