This position is located in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT DIVISION (FC)
This position(s) primary purpose is to support the Assistant Administrator or other Senior Level Executive with receiving, reviewing, and responding to inquiries from internal and external entities; preparing correspondence, making travel arrangements, and scheduling meetings; planning and participating in special projects and agency initiatives.

As an Executive Staff Assistant (HQ)your typical work assignments may include:
Working directly under the Assistant Administrator (AA) or other Senior Level Executive in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
Composing executive level correspondence, memoranda, and reports.
Tracking statuses of projects, correspondence and other program-related matters.
Participating in special projects, public activities, agency initiatives and performs special assignments on behalf of the division.
Executing organizational administrative functions such as scheduling meetings and making travel arrangements.
Serving as administrative policies advisor.
Performing Human Resources (HR) management and onboarding processes.
Preparing and processing fiscal and acquisitions transactions.
Serving as facilities manager including property inventories and warehouse supplies management.

GS-11:
Experience:You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level (GS-09) in the normal line of progress for the occupation in the organization. To be creditable, this experience must have equipped the applicant with the particular qualifications to perform successfully the duties of the position, and must typically be in or related to the position to be filled.
Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Taking meeting minutes to record activities and action items; 2) Organizing daily schedules for Management officials; 3) Providing administrative policy interpretation, advice and recommendations.OR
Education:Three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree NOTE: Graduate education must provide the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR
Combination of Education and Experience:A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
GS-12:
Experience:You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level (GS-11) in the normal line of progress for the occupation in the organization. To be creditable, this experience must have equipped the applicant with the particular qualifications to perform successfully the duties of the position and must typically be in or related to the position to be filled.
Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Taking meeting minutes to record activities and action items; 2) Organizing daily schedules for Management officials; 3) Providing administrative policy interpretation, advice and recommendations. 4) Representing an organization on behalf of leadership; 5) tracking items related to international events and/or knowledge of administrative protocol concepts and practices
