This position is located with Bonneville Power Administration in Fish and Wildlife Implementation Units), EWU-Washington Implementation of the Fish & Wildlife Program (EW), Environment, Fish & Wildlife (E).
A successful candidate in the Fish and Wildlife Administrator position will serve as a senior program lead and/or project manager responsible for performing professional scientific work involved in the implementation or the development of policy to support fish and wildlife protection.

- This position requires a valid driver's license as a condition of employment.

- A preliminary background check must be completed before a new employee can begin work. Current Federal employees or other individuals with an existing completed background investigation may not be required to undergo another background check.
Qualifications
BASIC REQUIREMENT:
Degree: Biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position.
or
Combination of education and experience: Courses equivalent to a major, or at least 30 semester hours in courses, as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
or
Experience: Four years of experience that demonstrated that the applicant acquired knowledge and understanding of one or more of the biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, or related disciplines equivalent to that which would have been acquired through completion of a 4-year course of study as described in A above.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level [GS-12] in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as experience 1) participating in an organization's fish and wildlife program to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and mandated requirements for fish protection, mitigation, and enhancement measures; AND 2) coordinating habitat improvement and protection projects to ensure programmatic requirements are satisfied throughout project planning and implementation.
"Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
