About the Position: Position is located at US Army Cadet Command, Headquarters G3, Fort Knox, KY
Duties
Serve as Plans and Operations Specialist for the Operations Chief with responsibility to provide analytical staff support to the management of Cadet Command training and operations programs.
Position requires in-depth working knowledge of the Cadet Summer Training (CST) process, as it pertains to Cadre and Cadet education and professional development.
Develop, edit and contribute to operational and contingency plans.
Perform clerical and administrative duties in support of the operations chief including tabular data entry in a variety of electronic formats.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Temporary Duty (TDY) may be required up to 25% of the time.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Must be able to work weekends in support of training and briefings to Command and Staff.
- Employee is required to attend the Acculturation C3PO third week from Entrance on Duty at Fort Knox.
- 1 year trial period may be required.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work of this job. Specialized experience is defined as: work experience conducting surveys, reviews of procedures, developing recommendations that provide a method of accomplishing contingency planning and execution to include supporting reserve component training, developing, and recommending policy; organizing and carrying out specific training programs, evaluating and recommending changes in methods of operations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
