Duties
You will be responsible for the daily operation and quality of support provided by the airfield to include, airfield safety, base operations, HOT POL services, airfield facilities, and ATC services and maintenance.
You will exercise the delegated authority to carry out the functions of Airfield Operations Military Decision Package (MDEP) QAAF and ISR Service 900.
You will ensure compliance with Unified Facility Criteria (UFC), FAA, DoD, and Department of Army (DA) regulations governing airfield operations.
You will provide technical assistance to the USAG-HI and Tenant Commanders and Directors on matters pertaining to airfield and airspace requirements that support all mission and training obligations to include unique circumstances.
You will be responsible for overall airspace management, Special Use airspace structure, and standard operating procedures to insure system interface and integration of current military operational airspace uses into the National Airspace System.
You will be expected to provide technical oversight to operations at Bradshaw Army Airfield, Pohakuloa Training Area, Hawaii.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position is designated as Drug Testing Required. Incumbent is subject to random urinalysis testing IAW DA guidelines. Incumbent must complete DA 5019.
- Designated Key Position. Position is designated as a Key Position in accordance with AR 690-8.
- This position shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization without seriously impairing the capability of the agency to function effectively.
- Because of the essential nature of this position, shall require that it not be filled by Ready Reservists to preclude such positions from being vacated during a mobilization.
- TDY may be required.
- Periodically flies as a passenger in rotary or fixed wing aircraft.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes analyzing techniques to plan and carry out major studies and special projects for transportation programs; developing and interpreting transportation policies, procedures, and guidelines; and organizing methodology of the procurement of specific transportation services. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
