As a Real Property Disposal Expert, you will serve as a nationally recognized and respected authority and Agency spokesperson on a diverse range of issues related to federal real property disposition.Location of position: Public Building Service (PBS), Office of Real Property Disposition (RPD)

Duties
Serves as a nationally recognized and respected authority and Agency spokesperson on a diverse range of issues related to federal real property disposition, as well as more widespread federal real property issues affecting the substantive agency mission in which his/her expertise is often sought due to extensive knowledge and experience in one or more program areas. Provides expert guidance and recommendations to Real Property Disposition (RPD) Assistant Commissioner and Agency leadership related to applicability of federal real property repositioning authorities, including the Federal Assets Sale and Transfer Act, GSA's relocation and exchange authorities, Section 110 of the National Historic Preservation Act, the National Historic Lighthouse Preservation Act, and agency-specific realty authorities including those authorized to the Coast Guard, Forest Service, and Department of Energy.
Conceives and recommends projects or studies to advance the utilization of innovative disposition solutions to complex real property projects. Develops and plans with RPD AC and Directors the strategies, actions, and initiatives of RPD program nationwide. Consults to GSA, OMB, Congressional staff and other stakeholders on federal real property projects and initiatives. Coordinates technical elements of the organization's program(s) with related activities of -other government agencies, including Public Benefit Conveyance oversight and monitoring, promoting mutual cooperation in areas which can be combined for more effective results.
Reviews for technical feasibility and adherence with the organization's objectives and recommendations on proposed contracts, in-house projects or other similarly broad strategic initiatives. Confers with key government, private officials and experts within the field, representing the agency at technical symposia and conferences. Serves on agency, interagency and technical society committees of national importance as a recognized authority in the specialty area.
Using technical leadership, outstanding creativity and exceptional judgment, he/she develops, defines and modifies research and/or programmatic objectives, devising innovative ways to solve problems of major importance to the agency.

The GS-15 salary range starts at $163,964 per year. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience in developing, leading, and participating in special projects, studies, work groups, task forces and panels to advance the application of disposition solutions to complex real property matters and to improve program effectiveness, processes and systems; advising on and ensuring compliance with federal real property regulatory guidance such as, but not limited to, Title V of the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act, the Federal Assets Sale and Transfer Act, Sections 106 and 110 of the National Historic Preservation Act, the National Historic Lighthouse Preservation Act, Title 40 of U.S.C 550 and authorities pertaining to federal real property disposition.
