About the Position: The organizational location of this position is: US Air Force (USAF), 436th Medical Group, Dover Air Force Base, Delaware. The 436th Medical Group is responsible for providing a full spectrum of health care and patient-centered treatment for the men and women of Dover Air Force Base and more than 11,000 TRICARE beneficiaries. Duties

Provide advisory to support and executive staff on topics such as medical standards, deployment processing. Compile data to produce reports for leadership. Ensure local policy and procedure are in line with Department of Defense guidelines. Serve as a liaison between unit personnel and health care personnel. Perform quality review on Medical Evaluation Board documents and/or files. Analyze member medical records and request additional information when necessary. Participate in special projects and/or research for the medical group.

• This position requires that you obtain and maintain a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• This position may require the incumbent to work overtime, necessary to meet mission requirements.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: One year of specialized experience which includes managing administrative operations in a health care setting; utilizing heath care system databases to enter and retrieve data; and implementing administrative directives and policies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in hospital administration, public health administration, or related fields such as business or public administration with course work in health care administration. A degree in Public Health or Allied Sciences is highly desirable. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
