About the Position: The Alaska District is seeking to fill a Program Analyst position located in Programs and Project Management Division, Business Support Branch. An ideal candidate will have strong experience in financial management and automated information systems. Candidates must possess excellent interpersonal, written and communication skills, be detail-orientated, have a passion for leading teams and mentoring team members, as well as exceptional customer service skills.
Duties
Provides financial and analytical support to assigned team, and appropriate Branch Chief, in support of the mission for the Alaska District.
Develops and updates assigned program evaluation plans, procedures and methodology for analysis of the program quality and effectiveness.
Recommends measurable performance indicators for use in evaluating the program and project management effectiveness of the assigned program mission.
Provides advice about work methods, practices and procedures, and assists the team and/or individual members with identification of the parameters for a viable solution.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This is a Financial Management Level 2 Certified position in accordance with the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes utilizing financial management systems to manage financial programs on Federal appropriations governing and controlling use of funds for budgeting and/or budget execution. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
