This position is located in the Civil Division, Office of Management Programs (OMP), Office of Litigation Support (OLS). The Civil Division represents more than 100 federal agencies, individual employees, Members of Congress, the federal judiciary and the people of the United States. With close to 1000 attorneys, Civil Division is the largest Legal Division in the Department of Justice.
Duties
As a GS- 0301-14, your typical work assignments may include the following:
Develops, maintains, and reviews staff performance to ensure consistent delivery of superior quality services and work product.
Directs and oversees all aspects of litigation support, including assessment of services, quality of services provided, evaluation of litigation support software, and related technologies specific to provision of litigation support, including both in-house and contractor activities.
Plans and oversees the document review process, coordinating with legal teams and outside vendors. Ensures accurate and timely review of documents, maintaining confidentiality and security.
Develops programs, seminars, printed materials, and audio-visual presentations to promote awareness on the part of Division personnel as to litigation support capabilities and the appropriate use thereof.
Evaluates proposed solutions and makes recommendations for the adoption, implementation, and workflow of technology, to improve individual case support strategy and the Division's overall litigation support.
Requirements
- You must be a United States Citizen or National.
- You will be required to complete a pre-employment security investigation and background check which includes a drug screening.
- You may be required to complete a one-year supervisory probationary period.

Qualifications
To qualify for the position of Supervisory Litigation Support Specialistat GS-0301-14 , you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below AND possess the required specialized experience specific to this series and grade you're applying to.
If you are a current or former government employee on a permanent appointment in the competitive service, you will need to demonstrate 1-year (52-weeks) at the next lower grade level as listed in the qualifications below. Time-in-Grade applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. Additionally, please ensure to submit an applicable SF-50 (please refer to the "required documents" section for additional information).
To qualify for the GS-14 position, you must demonstrate that you have the following: At least one full year of specialized experience that is equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the federal service: overseeing litigation support activities; reviewing and monitoring staff performance; reviewing and evaluating services from litigation support contractors; preparing and managing litigation support budgets; evaluating proposed automated litigation support technologies and making recommendations for adoption and implementation.
