This National Guard position is for a ELECTRONICS MECHANIC SUPERVISOR - TITLE 32, Position Description Number PDD0718000 and is part of the KY MATES, National Guard.
Duties
As a ELECTRONICS MECHANIC SUPERVISOR - TITLE 32, WS-2604-11, you will plan work schedules and sequence of operations. Establish deadlines and priorities based on established general schedules, methods and policies. Determine skills, materials and equipment required to do the work. Assign tasks to be performed. Explain work requirements, methods, and procedures. Instruct subordinates on new procedures or methods and provides assistance on difficult or new problem areas. Review work in progress or on completion. Recommend and participate in the selection of personnel to fill vacancies. Schedule and approve leave of subordinates. Set performance requirements and make formal and informal performance appraisals. Determine training needs of subordinates and arrange for its accomplishment. Perform the non-supervisory work of the function as needed. Prepare for and participate in various types of readiness evaluations, inspections, mobilization and command support exercises. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENT:
Experience organizing assignments for subordinates and estimating material/manpower needed for specific jobs. Ability to explain manuals/work procedures and prepare production records, work records and reports
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Must have 36 months experience utilizing principles, basic functions and application of theory of electronic systems or equipment. Experience in diagnosing problems and determining needed repairs for malfunctions in electronic equipment or systems. Experience in making mechanical repairs that required the use of precision measuring and calibrating equipment. Experience in using complex test equipment such as deviation meters, complex special test panels, etc. Experience which demonstrates the ability to interpret technical manuals, specifications, and publications. Experience which demonstrates the ability to plan, direct, and organize work assignments for lower grade personnel. Experience reviewing work requirements and establishing priorities to meet deadlines. Experience that provided knowledge of various lines of work performed by this function. Experience which demonstrates the ability to supervise as evidenced by the ability to communicate knowledge of general supervisory concepts, and knowledge of shop processes. Experience in adapting existing equipment and techniques to new situations.
