You will serve as a LEAD FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the COMPTROLLER OFFICE of MARINE CORPS BASE QUANTICO.
Duties
You will perform or advise on work in any of the phases or systems of budget administration.
You will analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organization’s programs and administrative operations;
You will communicate the organization’s strategic plan, mission, vision and values and incorporate these into the team’s goals, objectives, work products and services
You will communicate assignments/projects, milestones, deadlines and timeframes for completion.
You will coach team in selection and application of appropriate problem solving methods and provides advice on work methods, procedures, etc.
You will distribute and balance workload among employees considering skill level or specialization, timeframes for completion, and priorities
You will train or arrange for training of employees in team work and/or specific technical training as necessary.
You will research, learn and apply qualitative and/or quantitative methods to identify, assess, analyze and improve team effectiveness, efficiency and work products.
You will represent the team in dealing with the supervisor in order to obtain resources and conveys team findings and recommendations to program officials or other customers.
You will prepar reports of work accomplishments to supervisor.

- This is a Financial Management Level II certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: coordinating the development of program justifications, implementing financial structures aligned to programs of record, preparing requirement documentation, and providing guidance to senior leadership supporting annual program budget submissions to higher headquarters.
