This position is located at Bureau of Engraving and Printing, within the OFFICE OF HUMAN RESOURCES. As a Human Resources Assistant (OA), you will provide consultative advisory services on a variety of human resources programs and systems to supervisors, managers, Administrative Resource Center (ARC), and other human resources specialists in support of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing's human resources program.

Duties

As a Human Resources Assistant (OA), you will: - Serve as an assistant to Human Resources Specialists working in the Employment Services Division of the Office of Human Resources. - Perform a wide variety of technical support duties in the HR functional areas of Recruitment and Placement, Benefits, and general employment processes and services. - Provide recruitment and placement support services to HR Specialists. - Assist Specialists by serving as a liaison for candidates selected for hire. - Monitor candidates throughout the pre-hire process and ensure appropriate pre-employment forms, clearances, physicals, medical exams, etc. are completed timely and are properly coordinated with the gaining office.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For the GS-07: You must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-06 level or equivalent, which is directly related to the position as listed in this announcement and has equipped the candidate with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position successfully. Specialized experience is defined as: - Assisting with human resource processes such as recruiting and placement; AND - Applying Human Resources regulations, laws, and guidance; AND - Utilizing a human resources automated system. In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-7, you must have been at the GS-6level for 52 weeks.
