Duties

Serve as the Team Leader of a multifunctional team responsible for the system oriented centralized program management of organizational clothing and individual equipment (OCIE) world-wide and throughout its life cycle. Manages, coordinates, and performs assigned areas of the acquisition and logistics program, to include activities among interfacing functional organizations, other MACOMS, retail organizations and customers involved in life cycle acquisition of OCIE. Applies broad knowledge and professional skills spanning several distinct disciplines, such as supply chain management, production, maintenance, supply engineering, quality assurance, (cont) funding, etc, to ensure accomplishment of assigned areas of the acquisition and logistics program from initiation through termination. Assign, oversee and review the work of team members, identifies team or program resource requirements; integrates the work of individual team members or action officers working on the program. Provides the supervisor with feedback on team members and/or action officers performance; enhances team members performance/development; and makes extensive use of coaching/mentor skills. Studies and sustains an intimate cognizance of clothing and individual equipment fielding issues to update assigned areas as program needs change. Formulates plans for executing assigned areas, to include technical analyses of alternative strategies, establishment of pertinent milestones, and integration into higher level documents. Identifies and effectively uses resources and funds to execute assigned areas as planned. Manages and executes assigned areas using a combination of established and innovative methods which provide for expedited and accurate completion while enhancing business operations. Ensures organizations plan, mission, vision and values are relayed to the team, integrates these into the teams objectives and work plans. Enhances team member's performance/ development by personally training and/or offers methods and techniques to enhance their skills as well as providing technical training to new employees. Responsible for preparing reports and maintaining records of the teams’ accomplishments and coordinates the preparation and presentation of work-related information to the supervisor. Provides proponent information and services to contractors in accordance with contract requirements. Initiates action to redirect acquisition and logistic support strategies as merited by user/customer input, to include submitting engineering change proposals. Adjusting end-product actions to provide increased stock availability trends, completion, approval and follow-thru of supply control studies, (cont) availability of accurate and complete equipment and other publications, training, and organic/contractor logistic support. Optimize efforts on assigned areas to obtain the best balance of cost, schedule, performance, and logistic support as constrained by the needs of higher authority and other commands.

Requirements

  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
