THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D0883P01 and is part of the IL SMO, National Guard.
Duties
As a SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (TITLE 32), GS-2003-11, you will develop command logistics guidance and support
plans for federal and state missions.
Major Duties - This is NOT an all-inclusive list:
Formulate and implement the comprehensive logistics support plans, policies and logistics operations support, based on logistics data and requirements obtained from the Joint Force Headquarters (JFHQ) staff, units, USPFO, NGB and other organizations.
Develop, coordinate and implement policies, procedures and requirements for unit deployment, inter-service support agreements as approved by the USPFO, emergency support for civil authorities, training exercises support and environmental compliance.
Initiate equipment redistribution guidance.
Develop, staff and implement logistics plans for material fielding, mission support and mobilization.
Serve as the Information Systems/Automation Security Officer, Physical Security Officer and Safety Officer for the directorate, providing technical oversight throughout the shops and activities of the program.
Update Internal Management Control (IMC) Plan projecting 5 years into future for all DCSLOG/G4 branches or activities.
Analyze, direct and provide command logistics guidance to support CTA/TDA/MTOE changes and turn-in of command excess equipment to the USPFO.
Consolidate all logistics readiness indicators to formulate an assessment of the command logistics readiness of the state.

The FIRST area of consideration for this position will be all excepted permanent and indefinite temporary technicians within the ILNG.
Military Grades: Enlisted/Officer - Maximum Rank LTC
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must possess experience, education, or training which has provided you with a general knowledge of one or more aspects of the supply field; experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-11 Level- Must possess specialized experience which includes at least 36 months experience, education, or training supervising and/or managing supply personnel and a variety of supply functions; knowledge on the entire inventory management supply system; experience coordinating with other organizations on complex and controversial supply issues; experience providing advice and guidance on supply regulations to upper levels of management regarding supply functions.
