You will serve as an Electrical Industrial Controls Mechanic Leader in the Public Works Department, Facilities Sustainment Division of NAVAL FAC ENGINEERING CMD WASH.

Duties

You will determine the tools and test equipment needed to perform work on electronically controlled industrial equipment You will cut, fit, and install wire ways, conduits, or raceways to provide secondary AC/DC power to new and existing equipment You will diagnose electrical control circuits on motor starters to determine operational working condition. You will analyze diagnostic test readings and operating conditions of electronically controlled industrial equipment to isolate system malfunctions

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current CPR certification.

Qualifications

The Screen-out Element for this position is: 1) Investigate, troubleshoot and repair nonfunctioning and under-performing heating, cooling, humidifying and dehumidifying systems. 2) Interpret and apply building plans, blueprints, and use shop mathematics. 3) Use all hand tools, test equipment, and instruments, welding equipment and shop machines.
