You will serve as a TRAINING TECHNICIAN (OA) in the DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY of NAV SCHOOL EXPLOSIVE ORDNANCE DISPOSAL.
Duties
You will manage student deviations, placing students on hold due to medical, legal, academic, and administrative reasons and coordinating with the appropriate entities on when and where to place students back in training.
You will create, update, and maintain student training records, spreadsheets and databases.
You will generate graduation certificates and perform general office work.
You will receive, compile and report on a daily accountability of staff and students.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying rules, procedures, terminology or requirements related to training and educational activities; 2) Performing clerical steps in processing training and education documents; 3) Interacting with customers to provide information associated with students, training, training schedules, training processes and procedures; and 4) Operating advanced functions of a variety of office automation software including but not limited to MS Office (word, excel access, power point and outlook).
