Duties
The primary purpose of this position is to provide administrative support for the 33d Fighter Wing, F-35 Pilot Training program. Responsible for modernizing and managing all training and education facilitation in the area of course scheduling, student records, placement and documentation to account for growth within the 33d Fighter Wing training mission. Coordinates courses, classroom scheduling and registration; safeguards, maintains integrity of all academic and student records, data analysis and reporting procedures.
Administration. Responsible for managing all student records and affairs.
Serves as program manager of the F-35 student pilot program and associated syllabus and courses.
Serves as a unit liaison to the Numbered Air Force (19 AF) director of training office.
Performs other administrative work in support of the office/organization.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions, for the GS-1702, Education and Training Technician Series.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience at the GS-08 grade level (or higher) or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes knowledge of training programs and objectives sufficient to training requirements and development programs used to identify specific training needs and or administrative problems that affect courses, classroom scheduling and registration. Knowledge of, and skill in, applying fundamental training methods and practices of the aircrew training program and standardized analytical, and evaluative methods and techniques sufficient to advise management officials and resolve moderately complex, non-controversial procedural operations training issues for which there are one or more readily apparent solutions, informed judgments are made on problems and issues. Knowledge of the methods, principles, practices, and programs related to curriculum development, instructional techniques, training resources, and test and measurement.

EDUCATION: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, or LL.B. or J.D., if related.. FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-08 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-09 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of administration and management to include work flow analysis methods, tools and techniques, data types, methodologies, techniques, procedures, processes and systems as they relate to the function, mission, capabilities of flying training programs and role of the Student Pilot Program Manager position.
2. Knowledge of the organization's operations and functions sufficient to evaluate information gathered from various sources to determine quality, accuracy, and applicability.
3. Knowledge of various office automation software programs (MilPDS, GTIMS, and other database management systems), tools, and techniques to support office operations, retrieve and input data, and maintain accurate files; a qualified typist is not required.
4. Knowledge of personnel, budget, security and office processes.
5. Skill in applying basic analytical methods and techniques to resolve conflicts and determine adequacy of, or deficiencies in the program.
6. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, using tact and courtesy; work effectively with high-ranking personnel.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
