About the Position: Works under the general supervision of the Chief, Army Training Requirements and Resources System (ATRRS) Office, who assigns mission requirements in the form of objectives, priorities and deadlines. Incumbent is required to independently complete assignments in accordance with established procedures and to resolve most conflicts that arise. Completed work is evaluated for appropriateness and conformance to policy. This position is located at Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
Duties
Serve as the training technician for the Army Training Requirements and Resources System (ATRRS) office.
Responsible for scheduling training for the organization.
Performs support duties to facilitate advanced level student accounting.
Maintain training-related databases.
Utilize automated systems to prepare reports.
Requirements
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.
- This position requires a personnel security background investigation.
- A qualified typist is required and must be able to type 40 WPM as a condition of employment.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: applying a practical understanding of the training program; scheduling training courses into training system; utilizing automated systems to prepare reports, proofreading documents for accuracy; and compiling course and training data. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
