Duties

You will test, troubleshoot, overhaul, maintain, modifies, calibrates, installs and repairs various types of electronically controlled industrial equipment. You will use specialized test equipment, such as digital multimeter, digital temperature sensors, pressure gauges, hygrographs, pyrometers, anemometers, manometers, analog and digital voltmeters, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes. You will utilize safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations for the Eletronic Industrial Control trade. You will drive a utility truck or similar vehicle to and from the work site in order to transport self, supplies and other employees.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.

Qualifications

Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the job elements. Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision, Ability To Use Hand and Power Tools -Electronics , Theory of Electronics, Use of Test Equipment: Electronics, and Trouble shooting (Electronic Equipment). Ability to apply knowledge of electrical and electronic block diagrams, wiring diagrams and schematics. Ability to test, troubleshoot and repair electronic components. Knowledge of simple logic circuity and electrical theory. Ability to recognize color codes for wiring and components.
