This position is for an Integrated Primary Prevention Specialist (PREV WF), Position Description Number T0062P01 located at Joint Force Headquarters in Marietta, Georgia as part of the Georgia National Guard.
This is a Full-time Excepted Service TERM Position not to exceed one (1) year. This position does not require a National Guard commitment.

Duties
As a an Integrated Primary Prevention Specialist (PREV WF), GS-0101-12, you will:
Responsible for the direction and technical oversight of all integrated primary prevention personnel; attend all meetings, briefings, and conferences as a lead representative of the integrated prevention program; and responsible for the full range of integrated prevention administrative requirements. Manage the integrated prevention resources and requirements to ensure continuous and efficient operations and develop and execute the integrated prevention fiscal year budget. Support the IPPO in the execution of the continuous improvement and system integration functions of the state. Manage, plan, and coordinate a proactive continuous improvement culture that builds research based integrated prevention into daily office functioning. Oversee business process changes across all integrated primary prevention functional areas and lead the collaboration on complex interfaces with NG and state systems and similar related processes. Ensure subject matter experts provide assistance, consulting services and training for all assigned personnel, and community stakeholders when appropriate. Support the IPPO in the execution of the internal programmatic review. Monitor and oversee all internal review ensuring compliance with all laws, regulations, policies, and procedures. Ensure effective liaison with external inspection agencies such as the NGB Integrated Prevention Workforce, and the Inspector General.
Administer and oversee the state integrated primary prevention workforce. Under the direction of the state IPPO, manage prevention workforce staff actions such as assignments, reviews, evaluations, awards, travel and pay and routing. Adhere to merit principles; develop a vision for the work unit; align performance expectations with organizational goals; maintain a safe work environment and promptly address allegations of noncompliance; take immediate action if sexual harassment or other discriminatory/unfair treatment or retaliation is observed, suspected, or reported. Foster a climate of dignity, respect and fairness; ensure continuing application of and compliance with applicable laws, regulations and policies governing prohibited personnel practices.
Conduct recurring state integrated primary prevention level meetings to review the short, medium, and long-range goals, plans, and milestones. Determine appropriate measure of program effectiveness. Homogenize and synchronize efforts across the Prevention Workforce. Assist the IPPO in the synchronization of prevention efforts with Commanders Intent and guidance from the State Sargent's Major. Compile relevant data for reports, meetings, conferences, and reviews and submit to the IPPO for review and approval. Monitor higher, adjacent, and tactical level prevention workforce initiatives for messaging relevant to integrated primary prevention. Ensure messages are received and disseminated to subordinate elements. Ensure messages are received, understood, and complied with when appropriate.
Maintain regular and effective liaison with higher authorities (NGB personnel, state leadership, etc.). Represent the IPPO at meetings with higher echelon groups (regional NG meetings, state level conferences, etc.) when appropriate. Prepare and conduct briefings and presentations to review accomplishments or report potential problem areas.
Develop strategy and programs for improving and maintaining strong relationships with state leadership, and other key stakeholders. Coordinate with congressional liaison on congressional inquiries or matters. Monitor Congressional, and statewide activities of interest including the status of significant legislation and the budget process.

- Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position. The incumbent of this position description must have at a minimum, a completed National Agency Check (NAC) prior to position assignment.

- May require travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments.
- The work may require the incumbent to drive a motor vehicle; if so, and an appropriate valid driver’s license is mandatory.
- This position is designated as Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in preparation for, or in response to, a state emergency or disaster declaration.
- This designation will not exceed 14 calendar days per year unless otherwise approved in advance by the TAG.
Qualifications
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-12 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-11. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. Note: Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to former Federal employees applying for reinstatement as well as current employees applying for Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: executing and providing oversight for the state integrated primary prevention operations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
