DUTIES:
Leads team of government and contracted program managers, engineers, and acquisition support personnel to sustain and modernize LMTF capabilities.
Represents the organization at executive levels within the government and to contractor/industry representatives, delivers presentations on project/program status, accomplishments, challenges encountered and anticipated, support requirements, and the integration and advocacy of program and project objectives.
Establishes management controls such as milestones, expenditure rates, management indicators, and management reviews to reflect program status and provide early detection of emerging problems.
Advises Branch and Division leadership on programmatic and technical risks associated with implementing proposed solutions.
Provides continuous assessment/evaluation of goals, objectives, strategies, and performance to ensure a sound basis for long-range acquisition program management processes and follow-on system life cycle support planning.
HIGHLY DESIRABLE SKILLS:
A minimum of three (3) years of experience in federal acquisition, program/project management, and/or life-cycle logistics
Experience with facilities; working knowledge of DoD Directive 5000.01 The Defense Acquisition System
Strong communication, organizational and leadership skills with demonstrated experience in leading, influencing and collaborating in a diverse team environment that includes external functional and program stakeholders is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to prepare and present briefings, reports, findings and recommendations, program information, written summaries and results from synthesized data and/or metric analysis etc., with senior leadership, external stakeholders and customers (e.g., government contractors, other government agencies, federal Labs, etc.).
A bachelor's degree in a related field is highly valued. A Master's degree in business is ideal.

- Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance and will be required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise.
- Locations are not negotiable. The actual duty locations available may be located on the Air Force Civilian Service website.
- This position may require drug testing and the candidate may be subject to passing a drug test upon selection.

- Employee must meet Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) requirements, which includes achieving Program Management “Practitioner” certification category within required timeframe after appointment.
- In accordance with the Ethics in Government Act, 1978, employee may be required to file an OGE Form 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, upon appointment and annually thereafter.
- Work may require official travel away from the normal duty station on military and commercial aircraft in support of temporary duties at other locations.
- Employee may be required to work overtime or outside the regular work schedule.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of laws, principles, policies, and practices of systems acquisition and program management.
2. Knowledge of business, industrial management, contracting procedures, technical concepts, and production practices to evaluate contractor proposals and activities.
3. Knowledge of the missions, roles. functions, organizational structures, and operation of the Department of Defense, Air Force, and other entities that govern, interface with, and/or influence the systems acquisition process and integrated life cycle management.
4. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy.
5. Ability to establish and maintain good relationships with individuals and groups within the office as well as outside the immediate work unit.
