This position is located in the Office of Chief Financial Officer (OCFO). The incumbent serves as an advocate on OCFO matters and serves as a change agent for initiatives concerned with improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the OCFO.
Location of position: Washington, DC geographical area. This is NOT a virtual position. We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.
Duties
Advises the CFO on the planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, and evaluating communications, analysis, and execution of activities related to controlled correspondence, internal messages and internal policy.
Works collaboratively within OCFO and other agency organizations to identify impediments to the successful and effective accomplishment of agency mission and goals.
Applies a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods to assess and improve program effectiveness and/or complex processes, projects and systems.
Studies issues that impact the agency, and the incumbent's analysis of and implementation of innovations in business matters are used to ensure the agency continues to develop and employ best in industry practices.
Identifies problems or conflicts impeding progress, assuring that contractor and agency staff work effectively as a team to complete the projects within established timelines.
Undertakes and maintains special tasks and projects of interest for the Chief Financial Officer or other OCFO Senior Executives.
Develops, defines and modifies research and/or programmatic objectives, devising innovative ways to solve problems of major importance to the OCFO agency.
Ensures coordination and completion of OCFO led reports and communications such as, but not limited to the Agency Financial Report, Annual Performance Plan, Annual Agency Budgets, and OCFO town halls.
Advises the Chief Financial Officer of effective coordination strategies within the OCFO offices and externally and clearly communicates those strategies to the appropriate stakeholders.
This position has job functions that must be executed within a specific geographic location. The official duty station is a federal facility, leased space, or an alternative worksite (typically the employee’s home). Positions include routine telework and remote work arrangements that are geographically specific to one of GSA's Regional Office Buildings.

The GS-14 salary range starts at $139,395.00 per year. To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS -13 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience is providing management solutions and recommendations, advice, and assistance on communication programs and/or projects and providing advisory services to senior level staff on management and administrative policies which support a budget and financial organization.
