This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command.
It is in the Professional Work Category at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA-Joint Service Provider (JP).
Duties
Responsible for the discipline of planning, organizing, managing resources, and implementing best practices. Serve as technical and project lead to facilitate the preparation of a sufficiently detailed business case and development of IT solutions.
Provide supporting information to include critical path and key milestones, costs, schedule and performance regarding assigned projects.
Develop briefing materials and make presentations to Center Chief and other JSP Centers as part of the recurring Project Management Reviews (PMRs) and as required.
Represent the Joint Service Provider (JSP), and the JP Center Chief, to DISA Headquarters Leadership and external agencies, as required.
Perform technical oversight on key contracted IT systems and services projects and contracted efforts. Reviews and approves designs, management, development and integration plans for Joint Staff IT systems and tools.
Work with agencies, services, and organizations, both government and commercial sector, to ensure staff stay current with the state of commercial business technology practices while integrating the Joint Staff's IT requirements within DoD standards.

Qualifying Experience:
To qualify at the GG-14, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: planning, organizing, and managing IT resources; implementing best practices; and serving as lead to facilitate the preparation of a sufficiently detailed business case.
Education
There is no substitution of education for the qualifying experienceat the GG-14 grade level.
