There is one position located in the Division of Risk Management Supervision, reporting up through the Charlotte, NC Field Office of the Atlanta Regional Office of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and provides support in the areas of safety, soundness, and consumer protection for large and complex financial institutions.

Duties
Leads in conducting on-site examinations and targeted reviews of large complex financial institutions and documents and/or presents findings and recommendations to institution senior management, dedicated examiners, examination specialists, and FDIC senior management.
Leads in on-site examinations and targeted reviews and evaluations of large, complex bank servicing organizations; FMUs, and SIFIs, including joint inter- agency on-site examinations.
Participates in the scheduling of IT and operations risk management examination activities for Regional and/or Field Offices, including coordination with state or other federal regulatory agencies.
Participates in providing written guidance that will be used by examination staff from multiple banking regulatory agencies to enhance examination quality and efficiency in banks using the licensed products.
Performs advanced analyses to identify sources of strategic, technological, operational, financial, and political risk to the SSP organizations and the serviced bank and documents/presents findings and recommended actions to servicer executives, managers and directors, examiners, and senior personnel.
Qualifications
Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. CG15: To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the CG/GS-14 grade level or above in the Federal service.
Specialized experience is defined as experience conducting IT and operations risk management examinations of financial institutions AND independent service providers utilizing IT audit techniques and internal control requirements to examine insured depository institutions information systems centers and service providers.
